WHO WE ARE

Since its founding in 1911, Mars has become a leading player in the global food industry. Our portfolio contains 8 out of the top 20 biggest brands in the world and we are still a family owned business. As a family, we value our ‘Five Principles’: Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency and Freedom. These Five Principles guide us in the daily choices we make and the manner in which we do business.

Since 1990 Mars is also active in the ITR market. This way, we want to serve more consumers and bring fun into their lives. With small teams of motivated people and a flat organisation structure combined with global ambition, ITR is directly based on the Mars entrepreneurial vision. In 2008 we have taken over Wrigley, another world famous family business. Since 2011 all Wrigley products are also fully integrated in our ITR programme.

As the leading confectionery player in International Travel Retail (ITR), we take the whole category one step further. We make consumers smile by bringing fun into their lives, any time and anywhere. Especially the M&M’s range stands out in this category. The consumer is our boss, quality is our work and value for money is our goal. And not only every consumer is unique, so is every location. That’s why we offer a variety of special packs and add a local touch to our products, in airports, bordershops, inflight and on ferries and cruiseships.
